Overview:
This EasyTrans-DLL can be used to transform coordinates between different ellipsoids/spheroids and local datums as well as to convert coordinates between different styles on the same ellipsoid. A combination of both is also possible. The DLL comes with a lot of pre-defined ellipsoids/spheroids and local datums that can be used and, in addition, user-defined local geodetic datums could be added. Besides this, the DLL can be used to compute parameter transformations in 2-D and 3-D mode. Transformations with 4, 7, and 9 parameters are available. Also, the computation of transformation parameters using identical points is possible. The functionality of the EasyTrans DLL is identical to that of the EasyTrans Professional program (available for Windows, Linux, and Unix), with the exception, that no geoid can be used. The geoid option is subject to any demand.


Almost the whole functionality of the EasyTrans program, Professional Edition, is also available as DLL for Win32, to use it for your own applications. The DLL is based on the EasyTrans classes and uses a standard C-interface (functions), that can be imported. Besides C/C++-based applications also programs written in Pascal or Basic are able to use this DLL. A comprehensive documentation is available in HTML-format.

Here, you'll find a demo of the DLL for download. This demo is identical to the full version with two restrictions:
  • the accuracy of the transformation results is intentionally degraded to about 100 m for the second coordinate (2-dimensional; i.e. latitude or northing) and for the second and third coordinate (2-dimensional; i.e. latitude, northing, or Y and height or Z). The first coordinate of a point (i.e. longitude, easting, or X) is always given with full accuracy
  • if you want to compute transformation parameters via identical points, some values are set to 0 (2D-Helmert: dY and m; 3D-Helmert: dY, dZ, psiY, and omegaZ; 3D-Affin: dY, dZ, psiY, omegaZ, mY, and mZ)
If you purchase the full version, all coordinates and transformation parameters are given with full accuracies.

This DLL will be licensed on a per-developer base, i.e. for each developer/programmer using this DLL a license must be purchased. The first license costs $ 500 (US-Dollars) and each additional license (up to 5) $ 350. For more licenses there are special conditions available. The same is due if your application using this DLL is sold to another customer.
