UTM-coordinates in a file couldn't be transformed
This was a problem of the very first EasyTrans vesion 1.0.1 and is fixed in the meanwhile. Be sure that you are using the latest version of EasyTrans (at least 1.1).

It is not possible to read a certain data format and to compute any transformation
Normally, there are 2 possible error sources: First, you have to pay attention that all coordinates as well as all parts of a coordinate (e.g. degree, minutes and seconds) are separated by at least one space character. EasyTrans doesn't accept any other separators like comma or colon. Second, if you want to skip groups of characters or numbers they should never be cut by a space character.

For coordinates obviously correct entered via keyboard EasyTrans reports an incorrect format
In this case the input line is marked red, that means an input error still occured. Please check your input once again very carefully.

If files are transformed it could happen that the output file won't be created in the same directory as the input file
This is a typical behaviour of EasyTrans because it stores both directories of the input as well as output file independently from each other; EasyTrans uses this as the default directories for the next selection. By this, it becomes possible to manage a large number of files very easily and the input and output files could be distinguished by name as well as by the place they will be stored. If you don't want this feature, please select at the beginning of your computations the output file via the file-open button and select here the same directory as that for the input file.

In addition, please use the HTML help files and the online help via the WhatsThis option of EasyTrans.
